But I’ve never seen myself working as a freelance writer and still haven’t realized that the work itself is just a way of life.

They arent going to be able to publish the articles they have been working on for months on end. Its just not natural. The truth is that even those freelance writers who are able to do this work arent going to be any more productive than anyone else.
This is a very common problem for freelance writers. Weve got to be able to work on our own projects. Thats the only way we will find our readers. We need to be able to work on our own projects. Thats why the freelance writer is the ultimate dream job. It is the ultimate dream job.
It is, but it isnt the end goal. We want to work on our own projects, but we dont want to be paid to do it. For the most part, the freelance writer isnt a job. You dont have an office, a name, a position, and a salary. You have to just say YES to what you want to do. Thats how it works. Its a job.
The freelance writer is a dream job because we can be anywhere, any time. And that is what makes it so awesome. You can be freelance in ANY time zone, any place, and be totally free. Thats what makes it so great.
Freelancers work for people. Someone else. Not in a job, not in a job. No one. Every time you say YES, a new job opens up for you. Not the one you want, not the one you think you deserve. You are in control. No one else is. Thats what makes it so awesome.
Yes, in the world of freelance creative director we are all, all of us, working for ourselves, our agency, and ourselves alone. We do it all the time. But as a freelancer, you have control over your work, and therefore your work is your own. And as a freelancer, you have more time to devote to your work than a full-time employee.
You get to choose your own hours. But as a freelancer, you can choose how you spend your time. You can choose to put in a ton of hours in meetings, in meetings that are not productive, and in meetings that are not meeting. You can choose to put in a ton of hours in emails, so you can get in front of clients and get them to pay you or you can choose to put in a ton of hours in doing nothing.
Just because you work for a company doesn’t mean you should work for them. You should work for their company as long as you can afford it. So while you work for them, you should also work for their company. But if you can afford to make your own money, then you should pay them a little bit more. You can have several thousand dollars in cash, and you can sell them a lot of those shares (if they’re yours) so you can get back to them.
