By When you are using a Twitter account, the messages you post will be targeted for that account. If a telegram is directed to a new member, but you don’t get a reply, they can’t send you a message.
So a telegram message can’t be directed to a new member if you don’t get a reply. But if you do get a reply, the message could end up in a big mess. And if it does end up in a mess, it can end up in the hands of someone who might be able to manipulate the news cycle. The worst case scenario is that the telegram message ends up in a public post and can be seen by anyone who is interested.
Just yesterday we learned that the last telegram sent out by our new member, Nefaria, was sent to someone named Tim. When he tried to respond, he couldn’t because he was locked in the telegram account. And if you think about it, that’s kinda a dumb reason to not reply to a telegram. If Tim couldnt reply, he would end up on the list of new members that we might have to deal with when our next big event rolls around.
That’s just an example of our telegram system being a bit more proactive here than most other services. It is quite obvious that we do have some control over who gets sent a telegram and who doesn’t.
It’s not like we’re sending out telegrams every time we like to have a random discussion here, however. We just have to make sure that we don’t get in trouble. I think we’re pretty smart to get in trouble for telling people who you are and what you’re doing here. Though honestly, we’re not as smart as someone who’s been on a game site and is posting there, so we take that into account.
We’ve been on death-loop for a while, so we can’t complain if we haven’t been able to keep up with the changes. It’s not like people are going to turn to Facebook for help.
One reason I like Deathloop so much is because the forums there are more open too. A lot of the members of the website have really been trying to keep it down. I mean, we dont want to be the ones who are saying, “this is what people can do to you,” but we have to remember that there are a lot of people here who are actually trying to be helpful.
Unfortunately, it seems that there are some people who do not wish to help at all. For example, a while ago someone posted on the forum that they were “going to delete your account” and I was thinking of deleting myself. But a while later someone posted that they were “going to delete my account”. The irony is, they are both wrong.
Sadly, a lot of the people who post messages on the forums on telegram are actually trying to help you, but they are actually wrong, so just because you said they were right doesn’t really make it okay.
I used to love to read the telegram messages, but now that I have a lot of them I can’t anymore, and I’m not alone. I don’t know why people post messages on telegram, but I do know that it is bad for you. I’m writing this because I have two telegram accounts, and because I want to make a distinction.
